Reasonably perform forging and heat treatment of die parts

Different die materials have different strength, toughness and wear resistance. Under certain conditions, the use of * materials can improve the durability several times. For example, the watt-hour meter magnetic pole punching die made of T10A steel has much shorter primary grinding life than the similar die made of Cr12 and Cr12MoV. The average grinding life of G35 titanium carbide cemented carbide is 5-10 times longer than that of Cr12 steel, and the use of tungsten-cobalt cemented carbide as the same type of convex and concave mould materials is longer than that of Cr12 steel. 20-30 times. Therefore, in order to improve the durability of the die, a good material must be selected.

Reasonably perform forging and heat treatment of die parts

While selecting high-quality die materials, reasonable forging and heat treatment of materials of the same material and different properties are one of the main ways to improve the durability of the die. For example, during quenching, if the production is overheated during heating, not only will the workpiece be too brittle, but it will easily cause deformation and cracking during cooling, reducing the durability. Therefore, it is necessary to master the heat treatment process reasonably when manufacturing the die.

Reasonable arrangement of die manufacturing process and guarantee processing accuracy

The processing accuracy of the die has a great influence on the durability of the die. For example, in the punching die, due to the uneven assembly gap, the die is often damaged under the effect of shear force, which affects the die life. At the same time, the surface finish of the die is too low, which will also reduce the durability of the die. Therefore, full attention must be paid to the size of the hole pitch, the perpendicularity of the convex mould to the support surface of the fixed plate during assembly, the uniformity of the die spacing, and the accuracy of the guide sleeve and guide column. The higher the manufacturing and assembly accuracy and the higher the surface roughness level of the working part, the higher the durability of the die.

Choose the right press

In order to improve the durability of the die, a press with higher accuracy and rigidity should be selected, and the punching tonnage should be more than 30% greater than the punching pressure.

Reasonable use and maintenance of die

In order to improve the durability of the die, the operator must use and maintain the die reasonably, and the die should be repaired frequently to prevent the die from working.
