Analysis of components of plastic injection moulds

Injection moulding of Plastic Injection Moulds is a processing method used in mass production of certain shapes and complex parts.Of course, the functions of various parts of the mould are different. We divide the injection mould into the following parts. Introduce the components of the injection mould in detail.

I. moulded parts. Its function is to make the search piece to be w obtain the required shape and size. It is usually composed of a punch or core (which forms the inner shape of the plastic part), a concave mould or cavity (which constitutes the shape of the component), and a spider-shaped core or ring, insert, etc.

2. Pouring system. It is the channel that leads the molten plastic from the injection machine nozzle to the closed mould cavity. Usually, the pouring system is composed of main runner, split runner, gate and cold cavity.

3. To the part. In order to ensure that the moving mould and the fixed mould are closed and accurate, the guide part must be designed. The guide part generally consists of a guide “guide column” and a guide sleeve (guide sleeve). In addition, for the multi-I cavity injection mould, the ejection mechanism should also be designed with guide pots. In order to prevent the ejection of the ejection plate, the material will be biased, causing the bending and breaking of the ejector rod or ejecting the damaged plastic parts.

4. Ejection mechanism. It is a package that realizes demoulding of plastic parts. There are many structural forms. *Common types include jack, jack, and template-free.

5. Core pulling mechanism. When the plastic part has side holes or undercuts, before the plastic injection mould is ejected, the core that can be moved sideways should be pulled out from the plastic part. This action process is realized by the core pulling mechanism.

6. Cooling and heating parts. In order to meet the requirements of the injection moulding process for the plastic injection mould assembly, to ensure the cooling of various plastic parts. The mould needs to be equipped with a cooling or heating system. When cooling, cooling water channels are generally set around the cavity and core of the mould. When heating, heating elements are installed inside the mould or the surrounding mass.

7. Exhaust system. In order to discharge the original air in the cavity and the gas generated by the plastic during the heating and cold wins during injection. Exhaust pumps are often set at the parting surface of the chess set. Because if these gases cannot be exhausted efficiently, they will form defects on the plastic parts.
